mcdizzle's in korea

So I made sure to try out McDonald's in Korea... I'll forgot to take pictures though.

The breakfast sandwiches seem to taste the same (I didn't see the Steak, Egg and Cheese bagel though). I had the Egg McMuffin.

Their fries taste the same, too. And if you don't specify, they give you a Coke by default.

However, they have some differences.. They have a bulgogi burger, and a Shrimp Burger - both very good. major disappointment-- NO FILET O FISH. are you kidding? no filet o fish in korea?

and they gave me one single ketchup packet. haha.

i wonder if their commercials go "ba da ba ba ba! ee gut sarang hae!"

my apologies

I didn't have internet at my dad's place until last night. I had to either go to the staircase and shadily steal internet or go to the courtyard outside and fight the mosquitoes while stealing internet outside. So I couldn't really upload or update; also, I was lazy.

But fear not! I figured out how to steal the once-locked wifi here at the apartment.

Hopefully, you aren't one of the twelve people on earth not on facebook. Here are pictures of the food! But from here on out, I'll try to post them here in more detail (probably not though).

driving miss dae-shi

Hello! In Korea.. ate a lot of food already and will post pictures ASAP.

but one quick observation..  driving in Korea is crazy. pedestrians/ bikers don't have the 'right of way' and people are super aggressive. I only drove for ten minutes and already, I never want to drive here again.

mmmm. clogged arteries.

I stopped by Little Louie's in Northbrook (biggest ripoff ever for a hot dog joint) for a couple more Chicago-y foods before I left..

classic Chicago hot dog (with that awesome radioactive green relish)
deep-fried pizza puff
frieees

From this point on, it'll be Korean food..

i'll miss you..

I know I'll be eating a lot of great foods in Korea (both traditional Korean food, fresher sushi, and the interesting Korean takes on American food such as McDonald's, KFC, and the like), but there are some things of Chicago that I'll miss.

I checked these essentials before leaving...

Maxwell's Polish Sausage
Maxwell's Fish Sandwich
McDonald's Filet-o-Fish
OCB
Jimmy John's
Country-fried Steak w/ gravy and biscuits
Hot Doug's
A good burger
Good mexican food

I think I'll miss Chipotle, italian beefs, Lou Malnati's, Lem's, and Egg McMuffins. I forgot to make time to have these before I leave..

leaving on an asiana jet plane...

Tomorrow at midnight, I depart for Korea! I'll take pictures of everything I eat and some other things, too.

goals:
I hope to eat cold buckwheat noodles at least five times a week, go to a kimbap house, NOT eat boshingtang (dog), raw squid, and get jajjangmyun that gets delivered on a bicycle.
